Hilltop Fresh Food Initiative

New Mini Woolies opens at the Hilltop to help support the education of students with across Ajuga School, Campbell House School and Glenfield Park School.

A new Mini Woolies supermarket has opened at the Hilltop Community of Schools, aimed at supporting the education of students  from Ajuga School, Campbell House School and Glenfield Park School through hands-on learning experiences.

The store has been established to simulate the operations of an actual Woolworths supermarket, with baskets for fresh food, shelving for groceries, ticketing, signage and Woolworths branded uniforms students can wear to create an immersive educational experience. Using fully operational Fujitsu registers, students can also learn to scan grocery items and handle money when they process sales.

The store has been brought to life over the last few weeks through a partnership with the Woolworths Technology team, the Woolworths Construction team and Fujitsu Australia. Local team members from the nearby Macquarie Fields Woolworths supermarket stocked the shelves in readiness for the opening.

Our students are absolutley thrilled about this opportunity and look forward to usinhg this space regularly for their learning.
